Why do we want to set up a factory in Thailand?

2024-12-04

Our CEO--Louis said that in Thailand, the labor cost is relatively low, and the most important thing is that the products made in Thailand will be more competitive in North America market. The reduction of the tariff is very attractive for WELDAY and WELDAY’s customers.

In November 2024, Louis went to Thailand again, this time to start the groundbreaking ceremony. The day before the groundbreaking ceremony, we had a small meeting with the construction company and the sales manager of WHA in advance to discuss the precautions for the groundbreaking ceremony.

For this reason, I know that nine incense sticks are needed for the groundbreaking ceremony in Thailand, while only three incense sticks are needed in China.

In the afternoon of that day, we also discussed the construction progress in detail with the construction company. We estimate that it will be completed in April 2025. After completion, we will conduct trial production for about one month, and in June 2025, Welday will start mass production in Thailand.

On November 28, 2024, the groundbreaking ceremony officially began and the Welday factory in Thailand was born.

After the groundbreaking ceremony, Louis said that in order to expand the industrial chain, we will improve automation in the factory in Thailand, such as introducing CNC machines with a very high degree of automation, which will reduce labor costs and make our products more competitive in the market.

WELDAY is a professional PEX manufacturer in China. In the past 20 years, we have realized two production lines of PPSU and brass, and attracted a large number of customers with excellent service and super high product quality.

In order to meet the needs of customers from the United States and other countries, our CEO decided to build a factory in Thailand last year. This is undoubtedly a correct and wise decision, especially when Trump becomes the president of the United States again in 2024.
